History of the university

The journey of ADA University began with the establishment of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy on March 6, 2006, under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Hafiz Pashayev. Initially, the academy focused on training diplomats and civil servants through its Advanced Foreign Service Program, which commenced in January 2007. Over time, the academy expanded its academic offerings, introducing its first master’s program in 2009, followed by bachelor’s programs in 2011. This expansion paved the way for its transformation into ADA University in 2014, incorporating the Information Technologies University to enhance its capabilities in technology and engineering.

In 2022, the university further expanded its operations through the Italy-Azerbaijan University project, reflecting its ambition to strengthen international collaboration. The university’s vision underscores its commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative educational environment, focusing on preparing students to address global challenges
